PERFORMANCE & INJURY
The RUNNING ANALYSIS PROCESS
STEP 1
A 3D RUNNING ANALYSIS
Using markerless technology, a biomechanical running profile will be built over a range of speeds.
STEP 2
A FORCE PLATE ANALYSIS
Lower limb strength and power will be assessed both dynamically and statically.
STEP 3
A PRESSURE PLATE ANALYSIS
Your dynamic foot behaviour and function will be assessed.
STEP 4
REPORTS AND ADVICE
All findings will be placed in a digital report alongside advice on how you can improve your running.
OUR ANALYSIS TOOLS
MotionMetrix Running Analysis
MotionMetrix uses 3D Infra Red depth cameras to track your skeleton as you run, without the fuss of the ‘body markers’ found on older systems. It’s software then scores your technquie with over 64 metric all cross-referenced to elite runners*, highlighting areas of concern. This smart technology opens up a whole new world for the analyst.
* average of 600 elite athletes
Hawkin Dynamics Force Plates
Force plates are high performance scales that measure the forces you create (to 1/1000th of a second) while executing exercises. We use the industry leading Hawkin Dynamics Dual-Force Plate system, from these can understand how quickly and how much force you produce. Both dynamic and static assessments will be used to help us quantitatively evaluate whether your strength capabilities match your running ambition.
AmCube Plantar Pressure Plates
AMCube pressure plates are used to help us understand your foot function and behaviour. Capable of assessing both unilateral and bilateral balance, in addition to static and dynamic motions, the AMCube pressure plate gives us invaluable insight into your foots function.
Sprintex Gait Analysis Treadmills
When recording your assessment we use the Gold Standard Sprintex slat-based treadmills, to ensure that you natural movement patterns and ground reaction forces are minimally affected. Conventional treadmills use a revolving belt over a flexible board to reduce shock whilst pulling your feet beneath your hips. This is not how we move. Sprintex slat-belt system allows minimise the differences between the assessment and your everyday run, while maximising the effectiveness of our feedback.
